Onyx and silver ring
I really like the size and smooth surface of the stone, and I find black mysterious and elegant. I wanted to make a large ring as a statement piece. I also wanted to "wrap" the stone and for that I took inspiration by Dior dresses from the 50s and 60s. I wanted the metal to envelop the stone like the necklines of those dresses.
The ring is made of two pieces of silver that wrap around the onyx and are joined together, one part fitting inside the other to form the ring.
